Cover Reveal of ‘War for Immortality’

It is time to reveal the cover for the sequel to Cave of Immortality, the second book in my Immortality series, so please welcome … WAR FOR IMMORTALITY!

Wow! I am completely thrilled that I could work again with inspirational artist James Hayball, who also produced the cover artwork for Cave of Immortality. And again, the cover design is the work of the amazing designer Liz Carter, and I’m absolutely delighted with what they have created.
So here is the full cover:

Following on from the end of Cave of Immortality, here is the blurb:

What if you could make people physically younger?
Roza’s secret is out.
All she wants is to learn magic and cure people of old age,
but those seeking her rejuvenation power are overwhelming her hometown of Albany.
When the Plains erupt into a “war for immortality” against the weakened Emperor,
how can she keep herself safe and free?
And how can she stop the war being fought in her name,
when each side is as power-hungry as the other?

Here is James Hayball‘s amazing artwork before Liz Carter‘s cover design was laid on top:

The image shows Gorge City at sunrise, the Capital of the Plains, which was mentioned in the first book, but now Roza and her friends go there. It is an ancient city, and one of the great cities of the Sapien Empire, built by the Sapiens themselves in long ages past.
The huge watchtowers on the rims, the Sapien Bridge spanning the gorge from north to south, and the residential towers down inside the canyon (where only the rich can now afford to live), are all beyond the scope of anyone now to construct. The poorer people of Gorge City live in the many tunnels and caverns which line the canyon floor.
In the foreground stands the sinister Lord Vallance, Earl of the Plains, who seeks to exploit Roza’s unique magical gift for his own ends. And at the top left soars the Dragon Emperor himself, come to Gorge City to resolve once and for all the Sapien Empire‘s War for Immortality.

War for Immortality has a Book Launch at BANBURY BOOK FAIR, 10.00 to 4.00, on Saturday 5th April 2025 at St Mary’s Church in Banbury town centre.

And if you haven’t read the first book in the Immortality series yet, Cave of Immortality, then I suggest you read that first, and here’s the link back to that page.
